Serve on team

We have so many wonderful volunteers who truly serve our young people and absolutely are the driving force that makes this event run. We are always seeking more people to join with us and help grow this fantastic team. There are a few different areas that we have for people to serve - check them out below!

As part of being on one of our teams you will get a free ticket to the event, and you’ll be fed by our wonderful catering team. This year we are asking if volunteers would consider donating £20 towards the cost of their food. If you are going to stay on site overnight you’ll need some form of camping accommodation, and further details can be found in our team kit list.

Once you have applied you’ll receive a further Job Description and the Team Guidelines, so you’ll know what we expect from you.

  • On this team you will serve behind the wonderful Maycamp Café, making drinks, selling tuck, and plating up some exquisite Microwave fries! Be prepared for some energetic evenings, and some chilled out afternoons. This team always has a whale of time!

  • The main venue is where we host our main sessions which include worship, talks, games, prayer and more! This team will make sure that the venue is always ready to go at the right times, be on hand to keep things running smoothly, and man those fire exits (just in case!), Get ready to don your hi-vis and make this venue stand out!

  • Our detached team are there to bring the fun, and keep a look out for all the young people across the site. Basically this team makes sure that everyone is having a good time, and be around to help you find whatever you might need next. You will plan and run games, and quizzes,maybe even a slip’n’slde! While you do this, you’ll also check in on young people who might seem on the edge of things, and encourage everyone to get involved, and stuck in to what’s going on.

  • Over the course of the weekend we make sure there are plenty of activities for our young people to take part in. As part of this team you’ll help manage the games, bring the fun, and keep on top of the scores! Our afternoons on both days will have tournaments, where you’ll be key in keeping things ticking!

  • Our team work tirelessly before the event and during the event to make sure that Maycamp looks it’s absolute best, and stays that way throughout the event. Do you love a bit of DIY? Or fancy putting your mowing skills to the test? Get in touch to find out more about being on the team who quite literally turn a field into a festival!

  • Throughout the event young people and youth leaders will definitely have some questions or queries, and we want to make sure that there are always friendly faces ready and willing to help any one. In this role you’ll be the welcoming face of Maycamp helping to sign everyone into site, and making sure every has all the information they need to make the most our Maycamp!

  • With so many people serving across our event there are lots of hungry tummies! On this team you’ll help rustle up some fantastic grub for our super teams, making sure everyone has plenty of energy to keep going!
